Welcome to Lantus Land!! I think you mean 2 units, right? We don't give insulin in ccs. Just to clarify.
All of us in LL have google spreadsheets so the experienced members can view them and look at the big picture and then advise you. Here is the link on how to do a spreadsheet:

Also, I highly recommend you read all the stickys at the top of the Lantus subforum...there is a ton of info there and will give you a basis to ask lots of detailed questions. Unfortunately, without seeing a spreadsheet, I think it's going to be difficult for anyone to give you an opinion. Also, could you provide alot more info on your kitty please? Weight, how long he's been on lantus, when he was diagnosed. I believe the link I sent you above also tells you how to do a profile so anytime anyone wants to view it to remind themselves of your kitty's specifics, it's on there.

- When was Louis diagnosed?
- How was his initial dose of Lantus determined?
- Has your cat been on any insulin other than Lantus?
- Have any dose adjustments been made and in what increment(s)?
- Does Louis have any medical issues in addition to the diabetes?
- Is there any history of ketones/diabetic ketoacidosis?
- Can you provide a few days worth, or more, of blood glucose test data?
- Status
