Lantus HYPO on Health

Cat dx with DKA.
2 units Lantus.
Human meter, Relion prime.
I 'think' it's about 13 hours since shot, but haven't got clarification. BG still dropping.
911 hypo?

BG up to 49 at 13.5 hours after shot. Caregiver will continue to test to ensure it continues to rise.

Could do with dose advice from experienced Lantus users.

Are you, or were you able to use honey or Karo syrup to bring BG up?

Do you have a spreadsheet? How long have you been giving insulin/ when was diagnosis? How much insulin was given?

Joanne, the member is completely new to feline diabetes and to FDMB.
Her kitty was dx with DKA, and has been in the hospital. The vet gave 2 units Lantus last night before caregiver brought kitty home. This morning kitty had low BG so caregiver posted here.

She's now 14 hours post insulin shot, and staying steady at 49.

And yes, I do hope so... Poor love has had such a traumatic intro to the weird and wacky world of feline diabetes....
