? Lantus causing nausea after 4 months of use

My cat has been using Lantus for about 4 months. Just recently, he gets nauseated and throws up after a couple of doses of insulin. After that, his blood sugar level will be low enough(from him not eating) to skip a couple of doses of Lantus. When I skip those 2 doses of Lantus, his nausea goes away.

Is this a known issue with Lantus? Why after 4 months of use? I just bought a new bottle for $275.00 Would it be like this with other insulins?

I do not give dosing advice but I am wondering if he drops too low which may cause the nausea...
Are you home testing??
what do you feed?
