Hello. So I saw on the lantus website its not an approved treatment for dka patients in humans. Is that the same for cats? Im just wondering why his numbers arent going down if maybe its not the right insulin for him. Anyone have any idea

Absolutely not the same for cats. He just has not reached the right dose. It takes time. The best insulins for cats are Lantus and Levimir. You will need to keep increasing after every 6 cycles until you get there.

Okay thanks! Today he ate but seems a little sad looking. He didnt pee so i didnt get a ketone check but was negative yesterday morning. Yesterday he ate almost 400kcals, i was impressed! Have you ever tried anything like supplements to help? I saw a brand online that had a lot of good reviews but i never trust if they're legit or not.

I of course would still do insulin, just wondering if they would work hand in hand to help
