Sorry to hear it. She might just need a little extra support until her pancreas kicks in for longer. @Shiloh & Rhonda was giving her kitty micro-doses of insulin even though the vet said she could stop. Rhonda wanted to get Shiloh's BG just a little lower and give her pancreas a little more support so she gave micro-doses for a while and now Shiloh's having her own OTJ trial. Good luck and I hope to see Kloever at the falls again soon.

That sounds very encouraging!!! Thank you!!!

Kate, I was giving her .1 units for close to a month after the vet said to take her off. She is now on day 11 with no insulin, and have had only about three tests over 100, and nothing over 120 without an explanation. How low of a dose was Kloever on when you stopped originally?

.5u....I have NO clue how you did .1u!!!! She had been doing so well for 2+ weeks. I was so proud of her...then bam. It's very discouraging...but I'm willing to do it again! :)

Sometimes you wind up chasing the numbers until safely shootable - every 18 hours, 22 hours, etc. - whatever works for your cat ... and your sleep schedule!!!

Saoirse's first OTJ attempt didn't work. I did the drop dosing like Rhonda (sometimes only once a day) and Saoirse's second OTJ trial was a success. :) Hang in there! ;)

Kloever is doing SPECTACULAR again!!! :) I'm thinking she was allergic to something at my Parent's house. When I go out of town she comes with me there. I had gotten her numbers back within normal range...took about 6 days...then I had to bring her back...she went up again..noticed a change...thought allergy...so we moved her bed and opened a window. Happy to report she hasn't had a shot in 8+ days...hasn't gone over 100 in quite awhile! Even had an AM reading of 69!!!! She's a little rockstar!!! :-D
