Good Morning from Diabetic Alley!

Kitty is not letting Chewy have all the "good" numbers.....

Kitty
AMPS 235 shot 3.1

Chewy
AMPS 188 shot .8

Chewy is doing Great! He seems to feel really good---rolling around on his back and throwing the catnip mice in the air! I am satisfied with his numbers, but I do wonder if I am missing an opportunity to be more aggressive and try to drive his numbers down in an attempt to jump start his pancreas. The last thing that I want to happen is to get aggressive and start a bouncing and rebound continuous cycle-- I have lived that, and it is NOT fun!

Thoughts? His SS is updated.

Wishing Everyone a Great Day from The Alley.....

IMHO, you are doing beautifully and I wouldn't mess with success. How many times have you told people this is a marathon, not a sprint? He is in great numbers, below the renal threshold the majority of the time, so his body isn't being taxed. I would just slowly react to his numbers. You'll get there!

I agree, I think I'd give him a few more cycles to get used to being in the blues full time, see how his numbers are and go from there.

What exciting news from the Alley.

In agreement. His #'s are incredible. You've managed to get him sub 200's...amazing! I would NOT want to do anything to botch that up!

Well, that was posted 11 hrs ago.....

I need to stay away from their posts...I always want another one. There's one posted right now "Skeeter" looks just like Thumper's sister Callie.....and Malachi needs a home...and Oreo....I could go on & on. I'm afraid to get another one with Thumper & Callie being so grumpy & sickly.

FDMB and DCIN go together quite nicely! When I was on their site, I saw several pics and names that looked quite familiar. I put a post up (guess it probably should NOT have been on health - another 'DUH" moment!) but lotsa folks popped up to say they'd adopted their babies (in some case multiple babies!) from DCIN. Here's my favorite response:

My preschooler told me that we needed to get another kitty from the kitty diabetes store, since we already knew how to take good care of them. As it turned out, we just had to wait for shipping!
