Kitty is OFF THE JUICE!!!

Hello, everyone! I know it's been a little bit since I've popped my head in here. Work, and technological issues have kept me very busy, but I just had to come and share some great news. Kitty is OFF all insulin! I couldn't be happier. The process seems to have come and gone rather quickly, but I am glad it was caught early, and was lucky enough to have him go into remission. I will keep my insulin around for a little bit longer, along with my testing supplies, and syringes JUST IN CASE because I know it could come back later. But for now, no more pokes! His numbers were coming down, and after two wonderful all day curves, his doctor has decided he no longer needs insulin. I'll keep him on his low carb diet, and watch him for any signs that his BG is not right again, but for now we are nothing but happy campers in this house!

Thank you again EVERYONE here for all your support. It meant more than you could know.

Such good news! Congratulations! I know your kitty is happy too! My kitty got off the juice only after a few weeks of being on insulin last fall. I tested daily for a while after that then weaned off to testing once a week. I still test once a week. I can't help it! He still needs to lose weight but ended up gaining a pound so we need to really watch his weight and get that down some. Again, congratulations!
