Good Morning!
Not much change in the Alley! Kitty is about the same, she is alert and eating. She is still licking the concrete, but I wouldn't expect anything different, as I know the meds have not had time to have a positive impact on the anemia. I have used the epogen before in a CRF cat with good success, so I am hoping that Kitty will respond....SOON! I am not totally convinced that kidneys are the only thing we are dealing with, but I am not sure the treatment plan would be different regardless. She actually had a PMPS of 277! Her AMPS was 361--while I wish it was lower, I am thankful it was not higher. I think Kitty is in a situation that she could go downhill quickly or stabilize and improve. Each day that she is no worse, I take as a win! Please continue to send good vibes for Kitty......thanks!

A quick update on Sally (dog). I think I have stumbled on a dose combination that is working. She is receiving 13 units of N in the AM cycle and 11 units in the PM cycle. Her preshots are "almost" consistently in the 200s and she is dropping nicely into the low 100s. It was very interesting with Sally, it really looks like she had some insulin resistance and almost in a day it was broken. She had very flat "pink" numbers for over a month- regardless of the dose. And, last week the numbers broke on the same dose and I had to reduce a tad. I am Happy with Sally's progress!
Wishing Everyone a Great Day for a rainy Kittyville......
