Good Morning!
The appetite stimulant must be working, Cool Kitty woke me up pawing my face this morning....Wanting to EAT! She appeared a little more "with it" this morning. She did not eat all of her breakfast, but at least she ate some and showed a lot of interest. I added the new meds this morning-- Carafate and omeprazole. They mentioned some additional tests that they could perform to determine if the ptitis is being complicated by a bloodborne pathogen.... but, I declined the tests at this point. I really don't think that is happening, so I am going to continue with the conventional treatment for another week, before considering any additional tests. Her condition really does seem to be determined on a day to day basis. While I HATE the Ptitis is so bad, that is the only condition she has that can improve. So, while as bad as it is, it is better than her heart or kidneys causing her the distress.
I thought you might enjoy this from our vet visit yesterday...... It was a very stressful day, but Kitty ALWAYS keeps things interesting--one of the many reasons I love her! I was explaining to the vet yesterday that Kitty just wasn't eating good, that she had little interest. I had a can of food and took it out of her bag and asked the vet to watch her reaction when I opened the can-- I explained how she would just turn her head and make an "ugly face" and had NO interest in eating! Well, this is what Cool Kitty did when I opened the can and put it in front of her.........
So, it was an eventful day....not to mention the Pill Gun Incident!
Chewy is Good!
Please Continue to send Kitty good vibes. I want her to have a good quality of life-- Her Ptitis is So bad, but the vets are hopful it can improve. As long as she is in no pain, I want to continue to fight and give her a chance to overcome this bout.
Thanks for the support!
Wishing Everyone a Great Day from Diabetic Alley.....
