Good Morning!

Kitty seemed a little better this morning-- I said better, not good! When I went to the sunporch to wake her this morning she was sitting up. Yesterday, she sat up very little the entire day. But, the BEST news of the day so far, was she actually came to her food bowl when I opened her can. This is the first morning, in quiet a few that she has come to her bowl. Yesterday, I had to take her food to her and hold the bowl--- and she still had little interest. After giving her ALL her meds, I went upstairs to get dressed and when I came back down, I caught her grooming! So, she still does not feel well, but it appears that the Bupe and Cerenia might be helping. She was REALLY sick this weekend, so I am happy for any improvement or signs of hope. I know she has major issues, but if the Ptitis would subside then maybe she could have some quality time.

Her Diabetes is really tricky now---not eating a lot and some of the meds she is on mess with the insulin dose. The good news is she has been low 200s for her last 3 preshots-- the bad news is, I don't know what she will eat, so I don't really know what to dose. I have been giving 2 units and it appears safe. At this point, I am more interested in safe than ideal. This morning, I actually gave about 1.8. If she continues not to eat well, I might just dose her bid.

SIR Chewy--- checked in this morning at 81! (Green Robin!!!) It looks like maybe his pancreas is continuing to heal. I already was really fond of him, but yesterday he won my heart-- As Kitty laid in her bed, wrapped up in a blanket, he went over to her and licked her ears. He knows I am a sucker....the county sent the registration last week to list "YOUR" pets for yearly taxes--- he is trying to secure his place!

Hopefully today, I will see some additional rays of hope for Kitty. I can't tell you how good it felt to see her sit at her bowl and eat this morning------ the little things in life that make us so Happy!

Wishing Everyone a Great Day......

I like reading that. It put a smile on my face.
Chewy is so sweet to kitty. Clearly he loves her just as much as you do.

May the rays keep shining down on you & Kitty. Rays, make it so bright at your house! :YMHUG:

I knew she was doing better when she grumbled at me yesterday (she's SUCH a mama's girl!) - but that, to me, was a REALLY good sign!

Rome wasn't built in a day, Kim... you gotta give her a little time to heal and feel better. She's all about getting better - I mean, SOMEBODY's gotta teach little Chewy all the special tricks (although he seems to be doing quite well at learning on his own so far!) And how 'bout him licking her... he's trying to get into her heart! I mean, who can resist a handsome big "orinch" guy???? :-D

Great news Kim! Glad you're keeping everyone updated - as you know, we all care!

Oh, Kim - what an encouraging update - left me teary-eyed!

Hope y'all have a wonderful day -

Libby (and Hershey, too!)

Oh Kim,
that is such wonderful news
Miss Kitty is such a fighter, and eating and grooming is a great sign
Enjoy every day!

Grooming and eating very good, shes feeling more comfortable.
God bless you, Chewy, trying to make your "big sis" feel better.

It's good t hear she came to her food bowl....and I knew that Chewy was a keeper. What a sweet boy comforting Kitty. Still praying. :YMHUG:

That is the BEST news i've gotten in a long time! So glad to hear she is feeling a glimmer better. I will keep praying, and praying for you both!

YEA, YEA, YEA for chewy. Not just because of the GREEN  , but because he won your heart!!!!

Keep the updates coming. AWESOME!!!

Today has been a decent day. Kitty is still laying around and not very active, but she appears comfortable. It was so hard seeing her this weekend and last week is such distress. She has been on the sunporch for over a week, but tonight I brought her to the bedroom. I have given all of the meds for today (15 doses including her tid insulin doses)--except for her midnight shot of Cerenia. That shot stings a little and is NOT fun to give. I really hope the Ptitis will calm down...SOON!

Maybe tomorrow will bring us a little more improvement-- I hope so.

Thanks to everyone for the support. It has been a challenging week or so and your support has meant a lot to me.

Go Kitty Go! Get better soon.

Awe, sweet Chewy, he knows who needs some lov'n about now.

Hope all are sleeping at diabetic alley.
