Good Morning!
While Kitty is still frail and weak she is continuing to eat. This morning, I woke to her paw hitting my face....the way she has always told me it was time to EAT! I fed her the high carb non friendly everything she has food-- and she ate the Whole Can! After her morning regiment of insulin and pills she went back to sleep. I am dosing bid and her AMPS was 400--No, not perfect or good, but she is safe. I know I am underdosing, I only shot 3.2 this morning-- but, I want her safe! She seemed a little dehydrated this morning, but fluids are not an option due to her heart. We go back to the cardiologist this week-- so hopefully they will determine her heart is stable. I wish she could come off of the lasix, as her kidneys and pancreas would be much happier better hydrated. She really is weak, but she climbed the stairs this morning. She actually seems to sway when she walks--- I am not sure what to attribute that to. BUT, the good news is---she is EATING!
Chewy is Great! He keeps reminding me of his party!!! I told him we needed to wait a few more days, but that we would have a BIG OTJ bash for him!
Thanks for the well wishes for Kitty-- I go home nervous everyday--scared she is not going to eat. While I know she is not well, I am so glad she is eating. It was so hard seeing her not eat.
