Good Morning!

Kitty still thinks eating is Okay! She ate all of her food this morning. She appears much in the same condition as she was in yesterday. At this point, I am just glad to see her eat. I cringe everytime I put the food down---scared she will walk away from it. Her AMPS was 331--shot 3 units. I took her off of that 24 percent carb Kidney food the vet insisted feeding her. I have her on a decent diet. I can't imagine the BGs in the 600s were helping her any--- and my gut says not to let the diabetes off of the hook that easy. She is lounging on "HER" porch with her buddy of 16 years Miss Emily -- she appears comfortable (that is VERY important to me).


Chewy!!! Well he FINALLY went GREEN! Day 14 and Hour 345--- Sir Chewy checked in at 92!!!!!! There will Be NO Party while Kitty is sick, BUT I have promised him one! GO Chewy!

Thanks Again for the continued support. It is a very challenging time in Diabetic Alley, but we are taking it day to day!

I'm thrilled Kitty is eating, that is so important to keep her stable. How does she like her new bird feeder? I can picture her and Emily lounging on their porch leisurely watching the birdies.

Good you're not letting the diabetes off the hook.

And, Mr. Chewy is looking AWESOME in GREEN!

I hope Kim is taking care of herself, too, eating and trying to get some rest -

Kitty has decided that she doesn't like the Friskies Turkey and Giblets Special Diet much any longer. BUT, she has decided the Wellness Turkey is not bad! She is being a little picky about the food today....but, she is eating. She probably isn't eating that little, she just always has been such a good eater that it is hard to see her only eat 1/3 of a can. She also is NOT liking taking her meds. She is grooming and alert--but, I am not sure that I think she feels as well today as yesterday. She is scheduled to go back to the cardiologist on Thursday, but I am hoping she can go back before then for an assesment. I am looking for something to hang onto........

Her BGs are better....midshot preshot 319--shot a little less than 3 units since I don't know how much she will eat.

The birds have not found the new feeder---maybe soon!
 
Ugh...I hate it when they won't eat. I have never wasted so much food in my life as when I was trying to get Callie to eat something with lower phosporous...we ended right back on FF. I don't know anything about it but have you tried the Liver Shake? I read about some people saying they got their cats to eat that.

I haven't been on but checked on you a couple of times from work. You & Kitty are in my prayers. :YMHUG:

Sounds like Kitty's having a relatively good day - as long as she's eating, that's a REALLY good day! Maybe she's just gotta get over a hump... and will return to her smiling self once she does. Maybe if I stop over she'll grumble at me again... can't imagine that I might smell like another cat - or worse yet, a DOG or two!

Grayson has tried the Wellness too, and seems to like it! The chicken smelled like a chicken pot pie to me! :-D

And Chewy - LOOK AT YOU!!! We're all SO proud of you buddy!!! :mrgreen: Maybe a little green with envy too!

Sally's been kinda quiet while all the other excitement is going on. So glad you found the magic numbers for her as well - at least for THIS week! It appears sometimes the doses are like the weather in Portland... if you don't like it, just wait 5 minutes - it will probably change! :lol:

You CONTINUE to do such amazing things with all your babies! Hats off to you!
