Good Morning!
Well, the unthinkable has happened two mornings in a row-- Kitty was too low to shoot! She was only 136 this morning at +8 for her tid amps! While some might rejoice at this reading, this is not working in my favor! I would have preferred a 270 reading! Yesterday, the same thing happened. She tested too low yesterday also, so I waited and shot BID and last night she was HI . So, this morning I elected not to wait for the bid cycle and I shot at +10.5--she was up to 430! So, in 2.5 hours she went up almost 300 points! I couldn't stand to let her rise any higher! So, now I have a new rotation for meds to fit into the schedule! I will have to figure out a way to quickly get the insulin back in sync with her heart medications rotation. She was not anxious to eat this morning, but eventually she did decide to eat most of her breakfast. I also was able to get the bupe and all meds in her this morning! So, I will figure it out, but I could have done without the low reading this morning! She is still very frail and skinny, I continue to hope that she will get stronger.
Chewy is Great! He has gained 4 pounds-- and now weighs 15 pounds. He wants a party......but, it would be very belated, so we might just cancel it. I hate to disappoint him, but it sounds crazy to have a party 5 weeks after the fact! But, then again, I am NEVER one to turn away an opportunity to party!
I thought I would introduce you to another member of my family this morning.....Murphy is a shelter rescue. She is 6 years old and was on her way to the chamber when I brought her home with 6 kittens 4 years ago. The Humane Society found homes for all of the kittens and Murphy stayed with me. She is very sassy and is quickly becoming Chewy's best buddy.
And, here is my handsome boy Chewy! Who has claimed the Couch on the Sunporch as HIS!
Wishing Everyone a Great Day from a Sunny Diabetic Alley.......
