Good Morning!
Things went good last night. Kitty had no heart issues or respiratory distress while receiving her fluids. The vet said she was a little more alert this morning and was actually playing with the IV line. The Vet techs have fallen in love with her, understandably, and are giving her a lot of attention. They said they are watching her very closely for any changes in her heart and have her on multiple different diagnostic devices. She did eat a little but, not a lot. Her BG was 322 this morning, so they were able to administer insulin.
They will repeat the blood work and chest Xrays at 1 pm today-- hopefully, there will be some improvement in the kidney and pancreatic values. Her pancreas is very inflamed--but, hopefully the supportive care will also help reduce the inflamation. The Vet said that while Kitty has Chronic Ptitis-- the actual attack we are dealing with now is an Acute attack. I have no idea how they can tell the difference.
It is still very touch and go---BUT, at least for the moment her Heart seems to be cooperating! I have always known that she had a VERY special Heart!
Chewy is Great--he is missing Cool Kitty and all the extra food she was leaving in her bowl!
Thanks so much to everyone for the support and encouraging words. All of my soon to be Ex-friends here  ---- keep telling me...you need to put her to sleep...how much is it costing...just let her die.....SO, it seems good to have a group of crazy internet Cat people that understand my love for Kitty and my desire to help her!
Please continue to keep her in your thoughts and prayers.
Wishing Everyone a Great Day.....
