Good Saturday Morning!

After being faced with the decision last night, what to shoot into the 214--I chose 3.5 as the higher doses previously had left her with red preshots after shooting into the low 200s. Well....I really don't know if she liked it or not...amps 343...not red, but higher than I would like. So, the jury is still out on the dose.

I shot 3.9 this morning and am going to resume her fluids today,

It looks like you made a good choice. That's the same PS you got yesterday.

I also gave fluids this morning--hopefully, this will lead to a few good cycles in the yellows!

She feels good today! :-D

Kitty pmps 71.......I think I will wait to shoot!

I am assuming she probably went lower-- her nadir is normally around +6--but, she has had cycles that +8 was her lowest reading. I was giving her ears a rest today, so I have no idea. I have been with her all afternoon and night, so I know she has been okay--just maybe lower.

She was hungry so I fed her. It looks like the best option is to treat this as a 12 hour cycle. I will test again at +10...and I assume it will not really matter what I shoot---because a bounce is likely on the way.

Don't ever give up hope on anything!!!

Any dosing thoughts or other advice?

Well, maybe she knows your work is gearing up and she is helping? oh no! she is a cat after all!

Maybe she wants to go b.i.d. and this is your reward for not testing her all day?

Should I continue? because at this point it is a crap shoot! BUT a VERY GOOD crap shoot!!

Yeah---CRAP....that is close to what I said when I read the meter.

I gave fluids today---they do something very positive to her. But, they are a monkey wrench in the dosing.

I didn't even know my meter read that low......
 
when she threw the 91 .... had you given fluids? I would be tempted to give 50 ml (isn't that what you gave?) daily ..... VERY NICE!
 
Yes, I gave fluids on the 91 also. I really thought on the day she threw the 91 that I might have given too many---it was the end of the bag. But, the vet has given her 150mls (too much...my vet?) before and it didn't bottom her out.

Today, I gave maybe 50 to 60 mls.

Both days they were slow to absorb--I wish I understood it.
 
Breakthrough!! She's starting to get them on a continual basis. So your dance steps will be changing again.

Wouldn't it be nice if she went bid?
 
One hour later and one can of FF on board she is now 121. I will keep testing her---when shootable-- how much would you shoot?
 
Yes, I would love BID--and it would be great timing. Work is cranking up in the next 2 weeks.

I wish Kitty would hold off on the excitement on Saturday nights! I was all prepared for going to bed early and trying to catch up on some sleep.
 
Good question on the dose. The 3.5u did ok on a bg of 214, not such a big zoom up as you got with the 3.7 on the 212.

It looks like she's asking for a dose decrease, how do you feel about trying like a 3.4u when she gets to a bg of over 214.

Good thing it is the weekend so you can shoot as needed.

Oh yah, you can expect a bounce.
 
waited until +11.5 (wanted to see what it did on a bid schedule)-- reading was-433 shot 3.7

Reduced in hopes of allowing her to resume tid schedule
