Preshot is continuing to come down--- amps 372. Hopefully this is a sign the infection is subsiding.

She seems to be continuing to drink more water than usual. I missed the early morning ketone test-- she snuck to the box!

The place on her gum is no worse. Obviously I don't know-- but it looks more like an ukcer than an abscess to me (small and red-- no drinage or swelling-- but her teeth are bad). Then I ask--- why would she have an ulcer? I guess we will find out soon enough.

I hope everyone has a good day! I need to go restock the wine cabinet today!!!

Harley's absess was small and hard, it felt like it could have been bone with no drainage. I bet Ms. Kitty will feel so much better after she gets her teeth taken care of.

drinking24 Heres to restocking the wine cabinet.

I didn't know Harley has had an abscess. If this place is an abscess, I think maybe it has ruptured-- which probably isn't a bad thing. When I touch it, I feel I small indention in it.

Yea, I am hoping this will be a good thing and help her feel better. I would love to see her feel good again!

I hope Harley is having a good day and the Lantus is working well.

I checked out Samwise-- it looks like he is adjusting nicely to Lantus. Our PZI cats are quickly defecting to the Ls for different reasons.

Harley had a dental last fall, we knew that he had at least 1 tooth that had to come out. When I took him for the dental the Vet felt the lump on his jaw and knew that it wasn't there the week before and said "this isn't good" it scared the crap out of me, I thought it was cancer or something but it turned out to be a new abcess, he lost 3 teeth that day.

My new vet is a firm believer in Lantus. We were so sure I could get Harley OTJ after the dental that he went along with continuing to use the Prozinc and we almost made it, he would go without insulin for a week and back on for a few days then off for a week and back on. When he was OTJ for 3 weeks I was hesitant to announce it because I could tell something was still off and now we know what it was. So on Friday with the lab work on his kidneys my vet said it was time to switch.

A dental can make a big difference for some cats.

Preshots continuing to come down!

pmps 337

I hope the lower ps numbers are a result of the ab working. I am getting ready to give fluids.

I am a little superstitious, so I guess I will have some wine tonight and practice my breathing-- just in case that is influencing the numbers!

I hope you all gave had a good day!
