Good Morning!

I have access again, for the momemt!

I think Kitty must have been climbing and sneaking Saturday! Her amps on Sunday was 476 and pmps was 471--got 4 units am and pm. I received a partial message this morning, that she was lower this morning--whatever that means!

She got fluids yesterday and the report is that she is feeling well.

Assuming the MD is driving her numbers up--how long will it take it to clear her system (effect on bg) once I take it up? Will it take more than one cycle?

I hope everyone has a good day! I am ready to return home and love on Sneaky Cool Kitty!

Depends on how carb sensitive she is. It could clear within a day of taking up the dry, or it could take longer. Oscar had a gorging fest on dog food about a month ago due to the DH. We are just now getting back into good numbers. BUT Oscar is extremely carb sensitive :YMSIGH:

It's that Every Cat is Different thing.....Oliver changed overnight with no dry in his diet - down 100 points. But other cats take longer and have less dramatic differences. As long as you test before each shot and account for any changes, you should be fine.

I am sure she will be glad to have you back - until you take away her stash.....

Tom also dropped over 100 points the day I picked up his dry (4 years ago) also went right back up after 2.5 years OTJ when I decided it was ok to have a kibble or 3 for a snack....landed us right back on the juice!
Then again Tom was not on insulin yet...when he first dipped due to proper diet...I think when insulin is already present it could take a cycle or 3 to acclimate. Don't know why that is...but have seen it occasionally. Like with Ginny and Alex, she saw a big change the NEXT cycle.
