Good Morning!
Kitty is still eating! That is the good news! The bad news is, she actually seems less active the last few days. Her legs are so weak and she is frail. I took her outside this morning and she did walk around some, but she is mainly laying around. It is my hopes that as she continues to eat that she will gain some weight and become stronger. For the first time, her eyes look weaker to me, but maybe I am just looking too closely at her. I am going to call the vet this morning and make an appointment to get her blood work repeated. Like I said yesterday, I am not optimistic, but I am hopeful that the eating is a good sign. I was really dejected a month ago, but as I have seen her decline, I have come to accept that I know she probably will not get a lot better. BUT, I am not giving up.....yet! If her main problem has been Ptitis, then maybe it is resolving and it just left her very weak. She is in no pain-- I will not let her suffer.
Does anyone know if there are any supplements-- high calorie that you can give cats? I have been giving her anything she will eat, trying to concentrate on low carb, but I wonder if there is anything like Ensure etc...that you can give cats. Anyone know?
Chewy is keeping a close eye on Kitty and cleaning her bowl of any food she leaves! He lays on the porch beside her most of the day, occasionally licking her head!
Please continue to send good vibes!
