Kitty 5/14 What is Going ON?!

Good Morning!

I have no idea what is going on! Kitty was eating very little on Saturday morning, so I went to the vet and got the new appetite stimulant---- she is down to 6.8 pounds and she cannot afford to lose any more weight. I came home ready to give her the first pill Saturday afternoon, but she had eaten her food that I had left with her, so I decided to wait. She ate well Saturday evening, without the stimulant. Then yesterday, she ate all day-- probably a can and a half of food and boiled turkey. Now, this morning-- she has already eaten a can of food! She is sleeping a lot and resting comfortably, but suddenly she seems very hungry and is eating much more. She is so frail and her little legs have lost a lot of muscle mass-- so she MUST eat! I wonder if the Ptitis is finally subsiding and her appetite is back. I don't want to get my hopes up, as I really thought that Saturday she was nearing the end. Her illness has been really weird--no vomiting, no diarrhea-- just a general wasting away. So, if she starts eating and can gain some weight back, maybe her overall condition can improve a little. I know Ptitis can be really Bad, but it has been almost 2 months since her first symptoms. Everytime I think that it is time....she seems to rally a little. I am not optimistic, but I am hopeful that something is changing.

I am intending on taking her back to the vet this week for blood work-- maybe it will reveal something.

Well, I don't know what is going on, but I think I'll go with good news. :lol: Maybe her appetite is improving because she is feeling better. Fingers and paws crossed that is the case.
 
Yes, hopefully good news. Maybe her Diabetes is getting more regulated so she is feeling better! :roll: Afterall, the specialist indicated that was probably the problem!
 
I have the same sort of issue with civvie Callie, they can't find anything wrong but she is steady loosing weight. She does vomit every once in a while & I panic cause she can't afford to loose weight either. She has never quit eating though.

I can never remember, where are you in NC?
 
Hope this is the beginning of improvement, including weight gain; GO, KITTY!!

Good vibes and prayers on the way for continued eating and some weight gain for Kitty.
I hope this is a sign the pttits is easing up and now maybe her diabetes will start to regulate again.
All fingers and paws crossed for Kitty to continue with good appetite!

I am moving, I just am not sure where! I discussed it with my special guest at Chewy's party.....I didn't know you could see Russia from NC!!! Did You?!!! :lol: She swears you can!

And Lu, maybe Grayson would like to go stay with Barb while you travel West! :lol:

LOL, I'm pretty sure she has a map of Russia etched on the inside surface of her glasses!

Well, there is a Russia in NY, one in NJ, and one in Ohio..... maybe if you climb a high enough mountain in the Smokies you could see one or more of them?

Not another Petunia...the original one! She is so bad & is picking on Callie AND Josie. I'm really going to be driving that way to pick up the cat my daughter is adopting but I'm bringing someone with me....and leaving her! She wants to see Russia! :lol:
 
You Don't have to bring her here to see Russia! I am convinced you can see it from EVERYWHERE! Go outside and look....can't you see it?! :lol:
 
hmmm, If I climb to the very top of the Lighthouse......wait, I think I can see eastern Siberia! :lol:

If you can see Siberia, wave to my nephew - he'll be interning there this summer - and NO, his mother did NOT insist on sending him there!!! :lol:
