We had a high pmps last night--shot 3 units & this morning we get a better ps number . I have noticed that the lowest preshot numbers we get follow high preshot numbers from the previous cycle --could this indicate anything?

I shot a fat 3 units last night and a skinny 3 units this morning. I will get some checks in today. Her presot numbers are still all over the Place---maybe following the vet's comments of "expect big swings for about 3 weeks post DKA."

Ketone test last night negative!

Can you please fill in your spreadsheet for the past few days? It is real helpful for us to see the exact kinds of numbers you are getting for preshots.

Your preshot numbers seem to be in the high 300s not the high 400s (if I remember right) and love to hear no ketones!

Not sure about the lower ps followed by a higher ps. Could be food - does she eat during the night and not at all at night? Tell us more about her feeding habits. Some PZI kitties have the highest number in the morning and a lower number at night. It's that Every Cat is Different thing and does seem to have to do with when and how much they eat. Some cats are very carb sensitive and some are not. The trick is to find out Kitty's pattern.

Not too much advice to give today. You can find patterns in anything, sometimes even when there really is no pattern, so just keep that in mind too. But it would be good to know if there were any changes in feeding schedule or anything!
