Kinda freaking out a little!

Hey Y'all

I just went to give my cat Felix his evening shot, and I think I "missed"... There was a wet spot on his fur, and I could smell the meds. Not sure if he got any of it. I feel like an idiot. I don't want to accidentally double dose him, and I can't get intouch with the vet. Should I jist wait till his next scheduled dose to be safe? Suggestions?

Yes, you should definitely wait until the next scheduled shot. This happens to everyone at some point, we call it a "fur shot".

Thing is, you have no way of knowing if some of the insulin got in, so you wouldn't want to take the chance by giving another shot to try to "fix it". It's okay, don't sweat it. And don't feel "like an idiot"! ;-)
 
Yes, just wait til his next scheduled dose. You don't want to give another shot as he may have gotten some of the insulin and you don't want him getting too much (which is worse than not enough).
Don't worry, we have all had "fur shots". It happens:)
