I use Pretty Litter for the cats box, I have noticed that when cleaning the litter, the last 2 times including today (every 2-2 1/2 weeks) according to the instructions if the litter turns bluish green, it means there might be either urine infection even kidney stones, I need input, I cannot afford a Vet I am very concerned, there are no physical symptoms I can see, he pees as normal as always I hydrate the food quite well since after diagnosed he's traumatized with the water bowl.:bighug::cat::cat:

The only way to definitively tell if Corky or Coco have such a problem would be with a vet visit — and you said you have no money for that. I would not borrow trouble. If you see no signs of a UTI such as repeated visits to the litter box with only small amounts (or no) urine deposited — straining or signs of discomfort then it’s unlikely to be a UTI or even kidney stones. Kidney stones are very painful and kitty would show signs of discomfort. I haven’t looked it up but is Pretty litter based on the acidity or alkalinity of the urine?

It's actually Corky's pee, he goes regularly as usual, and yes Pretty litter shows any health problems, is a health monitoring litter, the urine changes color like Red if there's presence of blood, orange if there is acidity , blue/dark green may be present if the cat has certain types of UTI highly alkaline urine it says it can increase the risk of struvite crystal/stone formation, the litter is very expensive almost $40.00 per bag (that was my mani/pedi money) but it's awesome, no smell, no dust, very thin ,just pick up the poop and in the toilet it goes since is a jumbo box for the two, it says that it's good for 5 changes, but I just put in the whole bag I've tried just a bit to make it last but they throw out more trying to cover. but he is same as usual, I make sure that in each meal I give I put 2 tbsp of water for both, neither have touched the bowl since moved when inside construction started and Corky, since he came home from the hospital, he is suffering from "bowlicidis" :Dfear of water bowl, I just made that up. One more time thank you one more time:bighug::bighug::cat::cat:

I did some reading and it changes color based upon the pH of the urine (either acid or alkaline.) I would not worry and as JL has pointed out it may just mean that the litter needs to be changed.

Hi Maria! If it’s not specific pee spots, and only presents when it’s time to change the litter, it could just be the end of the litter life? I found this on their website (final paragraph). :) Hope that helps!
Corky looks so good! I’ve been following along silently the last few months. Good job!
:D Thank you for following and yes he is he is doing amazing, it took me a long time to get use to these greens, but now I look forward to them without panicking like before, I am really excited to see a remission in the future:bighug::bighug::cat::cat:

It's good to hear that I should have an advance early next week I will take him to get looked at just in case, without letting the Vet try to rip me off, What is the procedure if you know of to check for UTI or any infection, if any I would like to go schooled a bit if possible, you know how Vets are:bookworm::bookworm::bighug::bighug::cat::cat:
on another note. I messed up the SS by creating very large cells, and I do not know how it happened or how to fix it

Wait, is the litter still blue? Did you change it to fresh litter? I was reading about false positive color changes with the pretty litter — that can happen.

and wow — where did that yellow amps come from? I hope he didn’t drop too low last night after you went to bed.

oh yes I changed it yesterday, this must be a litter invented by a Vet to commercialize, and get more cats in their offices, I am always so skeptical about Vets, it's just like going to the dentist you can't tell the Dr there is no cavity you can't see, right? I was reading the whole web site, I am not going to pay attention to the color, I change it the litter box minimum every 2 weeks, the box is in the bedroom in the corner right where the a/c vent hits, there is no smell, any, the litter is soft, I started with clumping, hated the ammonia smell no matter what I did the smell was always there, wasteful, this litter is trouble free, I tried the crystals as well, but Corky has sensitive front paws, I adopted him from the shelter (ASPCA),@ 6 weeks old and had been declawed, this littler is thinner than sand, is like flour yet is dust free, I love it and so do they, Corky now hides hi stuff, with the crystals he couldn't, what can I say, what makes them happy makes me happy

What kind of monsters amputate the first “knuckle” digit of the paw of a six week old kitten??? Just a baby who should not have been available for adoption until 8 weeks old anyway. Don’t get me started.

Here is one of the kinds of litter that I use in a couple of my litter boxes. Clumps instantly. No dust. Made of corn and cassava so is not a problem for the cat to breathe silica gel dust. No scent. Cats love it because the tiny grains are soft on their paws.
The tiny grains will track though, but all litter tracks and you suck it up with the vaccuum (my robot vacuum does it several times a day to help us out). I buy mine in the larger 26 lb. bags from Pet Supermarket because it’s more economical.

actually they imputed every one of his nails they left the back claws, he must've been abused because when I got him he went underneath the bed and he did not come out for a whole month, I knew he was eating drinking and going in the litter, also after that when I went by him he would move away, I was actually able to pick him up for the first time when I took him to emergency last January and diagnosed, because I noticed that when I walked by him he did not move, I found it very strange, and he will be 11 on Sept 18, I could only play with him on top of the bed, he was never at my side as much as I tried, now he won't leave my side and he's all cuddles
