Hello Frenz. I'm going a little crazy here with Louis. I promise I'm going to get going with the spreadsheet, but for now I need help with Keto Test strips. What kind should I buy? Human kind? Pet kind? One brand over another? I'm overwhelmed at this point, my vet has reached his highest level of competency and I'm searching for another.

Ketones can be tested with urine test strips. Simply get ketone test strips, the regular human kind that a person on a keto diet would use, at your local pharmacy/drugstore/chemist.

Or they can be tested with a special meter that tests the blood for both ketones and glucose. Ketone test strips for these meters run about $1 each.

Many of us use Ketostix brand but any brand for humans is fine. I don't think there's an animal variety.
