Could someone help me understand Frutosamine levels a bit (as if your talking to a 2 year old).

I got all Kaz's test results back and I am going through them and the part about Frutose makes no sense. The color is coming up as high but everything else in the written section says its well regulated at his number?
His test results are on a tab in my spreadsheet (right side half way down). Pated it below as well.
Not understanding where it says range 219-354 with his above at 367 but then all verbiage below shows him under 407 and 421 which says good regulation.

Appreciate help.

Posted all test results on the sheet most seem good.

Thanks Claire

First thing to note, there are separate sections for dogs and cats. The ranges are different for the two species.

See this post: Reference Ranges for Fructosamine Test for a description of what it is testing. Also note that the references ranges vary between labs, so go by the ranges in your report. I see from your other post that Kaz is having thyroid issues. From the post I linked:
Hyperthyroid cats with diabetes mellitus may have decreased fructosamine concentrations, despite having normal serum protein concentrations due to an increase in the protein turnover rate (decreased protein half-life) due to increased thyroid hormone concentrations.

Thanks a little less confused.
