Just Triple Checking Do you Think The Dose Is Too High?

My cat has not been responding to the insulin like she used to. Do you think the dose is too high?

I tried the lower dose again last week once 1.25 but the 6 hour reading was still high, but that was only 1 cycle.

I am probably grasping at straws. Could a dose just a little off bring crazy numbers? Probably there is something else going on? My cat had pancreatitis and is more lethargic and neuropathy is getting worse. In the past when insulin was too high, I got too low mid cycle numbers.

Maybe it will give you a smile.
This is a marathon, not a sprint. Your cat is a very new diabetic and his body is getting used to processing the insulin. His numbers are in safe ranges. Breathe and then breathe some more. Keep testing and eventually you'll see some patterns

I do not thin your does is too high. Could be a hier-does cat. I could keep my Tonis below about 140 with 8 units Levemir and 5 units N twice daily. I can generally maintain my Dante/MurrFee under 150 with 10 units lantus.

Is Lovey on Zobaline for the neuropathy?

If not, it will make a huge difference for her... it takes a few months to work but it really does help.
