hello,

I tested his urine this morning, and the sticks are not outdated, his sugar was low at 126, he only pees twice a day, he has a large bladder.

The test this morning showed negative on glucose, I will test him again tonight, if I can catch him peeing...

just wondering, is this because he holds his pee all night, which i think would make it concentrated, or what?

getting new sticks after work in case...

Urine only tests positive for glucose when BG has been over the renal threshold (180-240) for an extended period of time. When you read the urine test, it's giving you an average of what the glucose was from the last 5-8 hours (or time since last urination). If he was below the renal threshold for the entire period from one urination to the next (and from the looks of your SS he was), then he would test negative for glucose.

If you're blood testing, there's no need to test urine for glucose. What you do want to test urine for is ketones.
