Jasper's blood glucose is steadily dropping today and I have plans to go somewhere in about 2 hours. How can I deal with this? Is there any way I can be sure he will be ok if I am gone for 4 hours or should I cancel my plans?

Update: he was 360 at AMPS +2 was 266 +3 was 186 and +4 was 165. Looking better but I still am not sure what exactly to do.

Sorry no one got back to you. Food is the tool you can use to help keep him safe if you are away. Do you have an autofeeder for him? If so, you can set it up to feed him, especially around nadir time. If no autofeeder, you can make "foodsicles" by freezing food mixed with water and leave those out to thaw.

The reason I asked about nadir time, is that if it's only an hour away, plus he's slowing down, then you could get away with leaving LC. Or you could leave MC if nervous. If nadir times are still a few hours away, then HC would be a good plan.

@Wendy&Neko I'm leaving some lc out. I think nadir is around +6 sometimes it has been later but +6 is only an hour away and at +5 his blood glucose came up to 183 so I feel pretty safe about it, I will only be gone about 3 1/2 hours.
