Jackson founght me like crazy this morning for his test.

He always comes when he hears me open the test kit. He often purrs when I'm warming up his ear by rubbing it. He then cries when I poke his ear, and often cries when I just get near his ear with the lancet.

This morning, we went through 3 test strips (not enough blood), and 2 lancets.
He recently started trying to grab the "awful" lancet when I set it about a foot in front of him while I work on getting the blood drop big enough. Today, he grabbed the top of the lancet in his paw, and I had to dig it out of his paw he was holding it so tight. I need to remember to keep the lancet away from him,

I test on the inside of his right ear only as I have not yet been able to hold his left ear. I test in pretty much the same area around half way down the outside edge of his ear.

This morning, his ear was so sore and full of jab holes. :(

He ate his nice big breakfast, and is now snoring on one of his many beds.

Off to get ready for work.
Have a great day!

Tonight, for some reason I was able to post on the forum at 4:00pm, make a few phone calls, take my 94 year old neighbor shopping to 3 stores and get home to test, shoot, and feed my cat by 6:00pm, prepare, cook and eat dinner, then go to sleep in my wonderful bed and get up at all by myself at 10:30pm after a couple of hours sleep ..before my alarms went off.. to test and feed.
I know that was a long sentence, but that is how it is supposed to work.
Once I was awake, I actually heard both my cell phone and plugged in alarms go off. Now, to go back to bed for 5 more hours of sleep, I hope.

Saw your post about JD's birthday. You rescued him from my. Diablo? I live in the area! Howdy neighbor!

Hope Jackson gets himself under control and better about testing. <3
