Almost Blue!!!

We are celebrating 1 month today on insulin, and it looks like it is finally working!
I am so happy. My neighbors must have heard me saying "What A Good Boy!"

The kitties celebrated with freeze dried chicken treats, and then their food, and then some freeze dried sirlion beef nuggets, and then some freeze dried salmon treats.
What a surprise. I figured the usual pink or red. Is that 5 maybe upside down? No, it's a 2 :p

Jackson is back to red this morning. I expected a bounce.
He was very happy last night (at least I imagined he was as happy as I was). He actually slept all night in my bed with me. He hasn't done that in a couple of months.

Jackson is 208 at +3.
I don't even know why I got up at +3.
I have a California King heated water bed waiting for me with big king sized down pillows (like a cloud), and I am up sitting on the cloud, in a well lighted cool living room, waiting to go back to my warm bed.
In a half hour, I will feed him, and hopefully go back to bed.

His one ear is like swiss cheese and he hasn't let me try the other ear yet. He squirms like crazy when I try it. I recently put some Animax on his one testing ear, as there are scabs there and he cries even before I poke him with the lancet. Although, he is a sensitive one, and ever cries sometimes when he gets his little insulin shot with a 31 gauge needle. I will one day try some smaller lancets. We are still using the 28 gauge.

Okay, I'm feeding him, and going to bed.
He's not used to being tested only one hour after the last test, and he started to have like an asma attack and lightly coughing about 12 times, before he settled down and I could poke him.

I am not looking forward to testing him every 20 minutes should he need it, someday.

Right now, even though he cries when (before I even) test him, he always comes when he hears me open the testing pouch.

Good Night.
