So more crazy bouncing with Jack today. The day was looking great until the PMPS. Again, no dry food out, he didn't get into anything. My daughter was here with him and said he napped for a few hours between +9 and PMPS. No stress or anything. Not sure what to do with his dosing now.

321 @ AMPS .7 u
131 @ +6
232 @ +9
500 @ PMPS .7 u

Dosage increase? Decrease? pull out my hair?? Different insulin? Any advice welcome!!

ok, so here's the thing. the drops are not so deep that i would'nt reccomend a dose increase at small increments. b b b b but...and there is always a butt somewhere, the drop was it last night or the night before was very steep. i mean...i would not take that one steep drop and make a decision based on just that...but we don't really want to see jack dive 300 points in 6 hours if we can help it.

so tonight's dose i am glad you did. who know's? it may be ok and show us to wait...but i am definetly inclined to go to .9 which is like a skinny U. it would be best if jack had a slower drop tonight and tomorow was in the 300's or so. if he is unusually low of course do not raise your dose...but .9 is where i would go next if this trend continues.

green is nice..but we want to get there slowly...not BOOM.

Thanks for checking his numbers. So will an increase cause him to drop even faster? Or do you think it will help to lower the pre shot numbers?

Will check him in about a half hour for a +3 reading.

I wouldn't increase your dose, you are still getting some steepish drops, an increase will give you even steeper drops.

If you look at your ss your PS numbers have come down nicely in the last week.

well we're looking to lower the preshot #'s and thus get a lower nadir...not a faster or deeper one.
