since he last had an insulin injection!!

He's a very sweet and handsome DCIN foster kitty who needs a furever home. His blog is here: http://fdmb-cin.blogspot.com/2012/04/albert.html

Albert saw the vet last Tues for a recheck from his anorexia and neuropathy. He is doing fantastically! The vet did not redo his labs as she felt that with his eating and drinking normally now he should be fine. She saw no sign of his neuropathy either. He is very carb-sensitive and I am feeding him strictly FF and Friskies classic (pate) canned food. I tried out Taste of the Wild canned on him, which he loves, the little mountain lion that he is, but unfortunately it makes his bg go a little high (I got a reading of 162 today, a marked contrast from the 70s - low 100s that he usually gets when he doesn't eat TOTW). I thought TOTW was grain-free?

Anyway, he is doing great and he is a real love-bug. He loves to snuggle and he will tell me that it's snuggle time all of a sudden, like when we're out for a short walk, or he's upstairs with me. He looks at me and meows non-stop until I bring him down to his room and we snuggle :) He also has a habit of touching my arm with his paw when we're cuddling. I see it as a sweet little gesture, but he's probably saying I'm his, or don't go. He gets along fine with my other cats but he seems to be more of a people-kitty. He needs a furever mom/dad who is willing to accept all the love he has to offer, and in return he will hopefully reward this person with OTJ BG numbers :)

Here's another pic of him; this one is from today during one of our walks:
