I got a timed feeder works great. Phoebe will not eat that food. And what myself and dh thought were magically appearing stains in the carpet, must be her puking. Can I freeze the jarred babyfood and leave that down so she will eat? She gets cerenia, zofram and pepcid at night.

Yes you can freeze food and leave it on a plate/bowl to defrost.

I leave out extra food at night and don't bother freezing it... It's never been a problem... Just open a can before bed. I also leave out young again zero and Evo.

I have left out regular food, extra wet food, frozen food she won't eat the fancy feast that she eats during the day over night. Right before bed about 10 pm I open the can and leave the feeder for 3 and 6 hours. She will eat some of the first and none if the second.

Maybe the second and third feeding portions in the auto feeder are drying out and she doesn't like it. Do you add water to the food? Is it possible she doesn't like something about the plastic smell, etc of the feeder section that sits for a couple hours?

Is it possible the feeder has startled her? I have one cat the startles easily and is very tentative when he walks past the feeder. I think he's heard it rotate a time or two and is just very cautious around it. I know I'd be hesitant to stick my nose into something that suddenly make a rumbling noise and moved.

That might be an issue, not sure what to do about the plastic smell? Yes water added.

Might be but she used it when we first got it. Maybe she is eating when the other compartment opened. Not sure should I feed her in it thru day maybe?

Chuck is a bit jumpy around his feeder. It's awful but sometimes I giggle when I see him walk up to it and jump for no reason. *mean mommy* But he eats out of it just fine. There was a post here about glass dishes that fit into the feeder. I can try to find it and share it with you. Maybe that would help?

This was from ShoesKitty back in August:
"Williams-Sonoma makes a perfect size tiny plate. They are called dip bowls. They fit perfectly in the pet safe 5 openings. I added a small plastic cup turned over to elevate the dip bowl to almost level with the top. The feeder still turns with this as well.

I can't take credit for finding these. I saw them posted a few months ago on here by Jayla and Marje I think."

Thank you!! I just have the 2 compartment feeder. So actually the bowl in it might be the answer I will try anything. :) I used to just put the frozen on a little plate and she ate it fine. These cats lol:banghead: so fickle.
