Hi all,
My diabetic cat went on a feeding tube for severe weight loss due to a number of conditions.
He has had it in a few months. Last night I noticed it was hugely swollen where the feeding tube entered his neck.
I am thinking infection-- but could it be displacement as well?
I have broad spectrum cat antibiotics on hand (Veraflox) s he had a different infection a few weeks ago, but we stopped the antibiotics. I could simply restart those until I can make it to his appointment next week.
Or should we bring him to an E.R. ?
His demeanor hasn't changed much (he is quite sickly anyway) but is still coming around at feeding times, etc.
