Is this a good BG curve?

I had the BG curve results from the vet (from Monday) faxed to my job today. This is after about three weeks of being on 2u Lantus, twice a day.

7am - food
7:30am - 2u Lantus
9am - 216mg/dL
11am - 252mg/dL
1pm - 289mg/dL
3pm - 295mg/dL
5:10pm - 382mg/dL
7:15pm - 385mg/dL

Prior to starting Lantus when I brought him in his BG was about 520.

It is certainly better than the 500s. The trouble with curves at the vet is that the numbers are very likely to be influenced by stress, and higher than you would get at home. (Strange noises, smells, other animals and lots of people who are NOT the mommy....) Any of those numbers could be higher because another cat was howling or a dog was barking. Some cats are 100 points lower at home than at the vet. So if you subtract 100 points from his numbers, you get in pretty low territory for 2 units.

It is next to impossible to regulate and figure doses from vet numbers. What are you thinking about home testing?
