Human doctor said they are interchangeable w/ humans.
Have an opportunity to save $$$ if I switch Sweet Max.
I've tried to research for the answer on the board. This old timer has ADD.
Thank you for your input!

The short answer is YES -- super easy.

In my opinion, the most difficult part of the switch is getting a prescription written by your vet.

I've been using Levemir for Tiggy for ~3 years

I just switched Missy from Lantus to Levemir a short time ago. It was a pretty seamless transition and she seems to feel better on Levemir than she did on Lantus. And I agree with Phoebe....the hardest part was getting my vet to write the prescription! :-D

Thank you for your input. He is my number one sweet boy, and I don't want to shortchange him. However, with his large bills last month and another kitty's multiple bills that culminated in a HUGE surgery bill this week, I would like to take advantage of saving where I can.
And the past week or two, he hasn't come readily for his testing/injection, so maybe the switch to Levemir will get him back on track. Although I was thinking today he might be missing his Softclix Lancet Device, which broke after years of use. I don't think he likes the OTU lancet device.
