Love all the new sections on the board. Very organized and easy. :) Ty.

I noticed last night my girls got a soft bump (width of a dime) under the skin at the scruff of her neck, just below the shoulder blades. It's right were I give the injection. Is this common? :?: It almost feels fluid like.

I know when I was giving humulin and PZI at the scruff Sneakers would have a bump from previous shots that i found out was 'undelivered' insulin. It wasn't the size of a dime, though.

I never noticed that with Spitzer. I also went off the scruff, a little more toward the shoulders when shooting.

I think I would post that question in the Lev forum to see if any of them have seen it with their kitties.

It sounds "large", especially if it just popped up suddenly.

Don't know if this helps, but I just found it today:

It is best to inject the sides of the body and not in the scruff of the neck, where the circulation is relatively poor. Initially, I did not take rotating the injection site seriously. Promptly, Tilly had hard lumps under her skin. Then I started to keep a careful record of the position of each injection site, maximizing the time between two injections at the same spot. Within two weeks all the lumps had disappeared.

Oh dear. Thanks Everyone!
I used to give it to her in the hip/thighs(s) area but last summer with the trouble I had, she lost alot of weight. Her hip area is just skin, very thin skin that I cannot shot into. There's not enough room for a needle in the "tent" area. Fact there is no place she has fat now, but her tummy.

...

Hmmm

Come here kitty kitty
