hi everyone,

i am very upset b/c simba has had diarrhea for the FIRST time in his life!! he has done it 2x already in the past 2 hrs. i did call the vet and they said if it continues to call them. well it happened again. i wasn't sure if it was b/c of the insulin or not and since this is Not a normal behavior i got worried.
he is on lantus, 2x a day, 1 unit. my husband thinks that its the treats i am giving him, tuna treats made by pounce. he loves them and has been on them since sat or sun. so maybe that is it, but all i know is this is not normal for him. how far do i let this go b/f going to the vet or is this normal and to just deal w/it?
i just wasnt sure what to do and thats why i'm asking you guys.
thanks in advance!

You husband may be right! Kids love McDonalds meals but that does not make them healthy!
Look on the ingredients for the treats, see what's in them.
If you just started giving those treats a couple days ago, why not cut them out for a week and see what happens.
If you want a good, healthy, low carb treat, pick up some freeze dried chicken, some are called PureBites... you can get at Petsmart and other pet stores plus at Walmart and other stores with pet foods. Most cats love them and you won't have to worry about them making your cat sick.

You might also want to try Greenies, my vet said they were fine for my last treat-loving cat. I also had the occasional problem with him getting diarrhea from various foods, usually the ones with a little too much dairy in them.
