Thanks for the welcome & questions/comments.
I buy only canned Pate & feed at 5:30 am & pm with water added. I test before am & pm feedings.
I have 3 other cats so I do have a small amount of Purina DM dry out during the day.
The reason for the lower amount in the evenings is because he is always lower & I have had several close calls of him getting too low.
Luke is 6 years old now. He comes to me for his testing & shots, such a good smart cat.
Thanks for all you do & the information you provide. Such a big help.
Side Note: I just heard a story of a lady I work with that would give her cat an IV every evening for 2 years. Wow!
It was an older cat with bladder issues.
Now that is dedication!
When you get a chance, can you set up a signature giving patient information like cat's name, your name, DX date, how much the cat weighs, what you are feeding, insulin you use and how many units., meter you use. your location, and anything else you'd like to share that will fit in three lines.
In the upper right corner of the screen, within the dark blue bar, you will see ID, Inbox, and Alerts
Click on your ID.
On the left, under Settings, Click on Signature.
You are off to a good start and have the testing down so that is good. It would be helpful if you could get some mid-cycle tests in to get some more information for dosing and for those here who might be able to help with dosing, they will be able to see what, when, where..... We all store our numbers in a Spread Sheet. Our spreadsheet instructions are
here. If you look at the signatures of the members here, you will see a link to their kitty’s spreadsheets. We keep track of all our tests. This is basically a place to collect data and help you to determine patterns, doses, etc. It also aids those that may be helping you to better understand your kitty. If you need help just shout.
