lynda and scruffy (GA)

Scruffy was my first cat to have had kidney disease. His large cell lymphoma tumors - in the spleen and liver - all disappeared with only three chemotherapy treatments. His kidneys, which started out okay despite all those early years as an unregulated diabetic, just gave up very early in the ordeal. We did fluids and phosphate binders and azodyl and special low phosphorus foods, but it was a lost cause.
This article, and the potential of using stem cells to treat CKD is very exciting.
