Insulin still safe after being frozen?

I'm am traveling long distances in the car with my cat and his insulin for Thanksgiving. I had his insulin on ice but by the time I reached my destination it was room temperature. I panicked and put it in the freezer to cool it down quickly and then forgot about it. It was in the freezer for about 10 hours. It is dethawing now. I know it probably won't be as potent but is it still safe to give once it has been dethawed and doesn't have anymore crystals?
 
You might try calling an emergency vet clinic and asking, but my understanding has always been that the two things that destroy the insulin are too much movement (shaking it or storing it in the door of the fridge) and being frozen. While you're on the phone with the emergency vet, you could see if they have a vial you could pick up. :-(
