Insulin Brand Change?

Right now the vet has Pinky on Novolin, which according to my research is terrible choice for cats. Pink has a vet appointment this Saturday. Should I inquire about switching Pinky to a better insulin? From what I gather Levenir, Lantus and Prozinc are better options. I have just started home testing. Should I wait to see if she shows any improvement on the novolin or push for a better insulin? Her number are starting to dip, but they are still high, and I do believe the dip has come form her gradual diet change.

If you can swing it, I would switch to lantus or levimir. They seem to give the biggest chance for remission.

With the food change you are doing, you will need to lower the dose of the insulin too. Novolin has a fast onset and steep early drop. We don't want Pinky having a hypo.
