Monkey's started crying out and/or jumping away when I give her injections - it's not when I insert the needle but only once I start trying to depress the plunger. I've tried letting the syringe warm up between my hands in case it was from the temperature, and I'm not really sure what else would cause it? I have freeze dried chicken now to reward her after but this morning was a mess with me having to poke her 3 times because she kept crying and jumping away :(

Any suggestions?

Aww poor Monkey! :(
Are you shooting bevel up? And in slightly different places? :bighug:

I understand that Lantus can sting sometimes, although it seems to be more of a problem at higher doses. Also make sure you're shooting into the tented skin and not into a vein or muscle.
