hello- have a question about our 3 month old shorthair female Patches. since we got her at about 1 month old her nose has grown to where it sticks out about an inch from her head. she is not very sensitive to the touch and we treated her with an antibiotic earlier for nasal discharge/sneezing.....so that she has not had the discharge in 8 weeks though she still sneezes several times/day?.....thank you

I'm having a difficult time understanding what you're describing about your kitty's nose. Can you post a picture?

sorry- i will have to try to download one from my phone....in the meanwhile it simply sticks out from her face without any sign of damage - protruding enough to cause visitors to notice( whereas a typical cat nose is about flat to the face)...thanks

Does her nose look swollen? What does your vet say about it? Cryptococcus is a fungal infection that can cause inflammation of the nose. You might want to ask your vet to rule it out.

yes it appears an entirely normal nose with the exception of its size/protrusion- we have not had vetrinary care for it

wish i could tell from your pic whether our patches is like your cat- i am unable to enlarge the photo and unless and until i could i dont suppose yours or my own pics will be worth much(?)

It's not my cat, I was trying to look into if other kitties had the issue. That's the most obvious one I found. Have you thought about taking her to a Vet yet?

definitely- thank you.....and it will be quite a project as when she seems at point A she is near Z....smiles
