INcrease to 3.5, a 1/2 unit increase. We got a 200 PMPS. This is good, but I would love some opinions about the cycle. He did not raise at +2-3 after eating like he usually dose and he stayed flat until +8.5. I am going to shoot 2.5 and not lose the momentum.

We've been down this road before.......I am not too excited because of how flat the cycle was. 1/2 u increase should have taken him down more......

But he sometimes take a couple cycles to really show himself, right? I like the pmps and like your dose.
Thanks Sue. I will see what happens. I will give this 3 days at this dose. I don't what to let him hang in one range too long again. What did you think about how flat the cycle was all the way through +8.5?

Not sure, Bobbi. Not a usual ProZinc result. If he dropped all cycle and got into really low numbers for pmps, then we might say the dose was too high. But it was a slow drop and he isn't in unsafe numbers. A typical Bubba dance - he must be listening to rock....

I'm trying, but some say no go. It's hard to make sure everyone is eating while I watch Colin. I've gotten very good at picking up the kibble, but tonight one of the cats was running all over the place, having fun, but causing trouble. I got distracted, and that's all it took! Glad I heard the crunching. Not sure how much he got.

It must be very hectic at your house during feeding time. It sure is here with 2 cats and 2 dogs. I'm picturing all these little bowls lined up going at your house going around the perimeter of your kitchen, HA!

1 eats in the bathroom, 1 in the bedroom, 1 in other bedroom, 1 on the buffet, 3 on the table, the rest on the floor in the kitchen. DJ, the 23 year old, sometimes sleeps through meals then wakes up screaming for food.

Celebrate the small victories Bobbie! Even if you are worried it won't last, you gotta let yourself enjoy even the small things. Have a glass of wine and give Bubba an extra treat so you can both enjoy this!

Not long. I have the kibble bowls fixed the night before. Those are for the cats on the table and buffet. I grab a large can of wet food and the smaller can for Colin, then the wet food eaters follow me to the kitchen and I get their food in bowls on the cabinet by the coffee pot so I can get my coffee while I stand there and watch them. The two in the bedrooms I run feed(wet food) after I give Colin his. Fortunately it's a very small house!

It would take me all day! I had 5 once no special needs. It was more than enough. Maybe you could do a reality show, make some money to help pay for it all????? Just a thought.

How did Colin make out after the kibble invasion? His SS wasn't updated when I checked.

I hope that's all it is. Any idea how long it takes to get out of their systems?
Not sure about the BG, I know when Bubba was having surgery the vet said that cats process their food faster than dogs and he was allowed to eat the morning of his eye surgery at 6 am and the surgery was around 9AM But again, not sure how long it's in the BG for

I'm not sure how long but I don't think it'll take too long. It is just the kibble...it happens!

I hope to get a black cat for my next one- I had one a while back - named Winston for John Winston Lennon- got him around the time John died For the all black ones - do you have any trouble telling them apart?

I can tell them apart if I can see their faces or tails. Two of them are the same age, and when they were young I couldn't tell them apart, since I had named the first one Pete, I called the second one RePete, called ReRe. I had a tuxedo cat named Winston, his brother, Salem just passed away a few months ago at 22, and DJ, his other bro. Is 23. Sadly Winston, a barn cat, disappeared when he was 10. BTW I love John Lennon!

As frustrated as you are over Colin, I am in awe how long-lived your cats are!!! I've had 5 cats - 1 lived to 16, 2 to 17 and 1 to ~ 19 - never had any to live into their 20s - sounds like that is normative at your place. You are doing something very right there

Those cats are all related & apparently have good genes. They lived outside, with cheap food, and never even had a cold! I've had a few others make it into 20's, but it's not the norm. I consider 16-18 great, lots of barn cats don't make it that long:(, that's one reason I bring them in at night now.

I was wondering if they were litter mates.

Salem and DJ had the same momma. The other cats I got from that house lived long lives too. Just don't know how old they were when I got them. It was an elderly couple that loved kittens and kept letting them breed. There was a beautiful Maine Coon feral male that was the father of some of the earlier ones, so I had no trouble finding homes for them. DJ is a Tabby and Salem was black.

Thanks, yes very exciting. Hope it lasts. Murphy has been doing well, hope he's getting used to the lower numbers, and will stay there.
