Hey guys,

I just wanted to let you know my personal vet is great, she's really open minded and thought it was fantastic that I kept such a detailed spreadsheet of Jake. She actually told me that she wished all her patients would do that, then told me she was horrified to find out that many of her patients will shoot without testing BG levels. She told me what a great momma I was, and said that Jake was really lucky. I then thanked her... because I get so much slack from family and friends who don't understand why I just don't put Jake to sleep. And what I don't understand is how they can just put something down just because it's become old and hard to manage. For 16 years Jake was a 100% outdoor cat against my wishes... but seeings as I have to live with my parents right now I had to agree. Then I moved out, left Jake here and he was strong and healthy as he always was and basically owned the neighborhood with his brother, Winston. And for 16 years Jake never got sick, injured or anything like that! Even my vet said that for a 100% outdoor cat and being 16 he was in fantastic condition despite his newly diagnosed diabetes.

So be pleased everyone that there is one more vet who didn't even need my converting, she was already a believer! I recommended that she check this site out, and told her how many good stories of kitties going into remission there were, how helpful everyone was and of course how many of us spreadsheet users there really was! She was very happy about this and said that every pet owner should be as dedicated to their pets as we were, because our pets are so dedicated to us, it was only fair. I was so happy :)

If you are in the Northern Orange County, CA area and you want her contact info, please PM me and I'll be happy to oblige ya!

That's really all I wanted to say!
