I found this site on Thursday and read as much info as I could. I now know that the first time around with my female cat I should have done things very differently. Removing the dry food totally is what I didn't do but I have done with Woody. I also purchased Nature's Variety as recommended in several posts. Yesterday was the first day that we used that in between the scripted food in the morning and evening. Woody liked to free feed on dry food throughout the day so I simply exchanged the dry with smaller amounts of wet throughout the day. His behaviors are so much better over the last several days.
I also ordered an electric feeder with ice packs because I travel throughout the week and my husband is at home but is self-employed and busy. I believe we have established a routine with Woody that seems to be working.
