Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! What a couple of cuties!

Didn't have a camera close last night but did have my cell phone this was what was in my chair. The siamese with the white paws is Amon Ra, the blue point is Bert and the kitten is Jasper.

Awww... I love heaps of sleeping kitties!

Is Jasper one of the foster kittens? Bert looks like Beau in that photo, although Beau is a lilac point, or so I have been told. His ears don't usually look as dark as Bert's do. And is Amon Ra less than a year old? he looks smaller than Bert, like maybe 8-9 mos old.

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! Love both pictures. Sheila, I am so glad you were able to get the boys holding each others paws, that is just precious.

Amon Ra is actually older than Bert by about 2 years and Bert will turn 6 this Sunday along with his brother Casper. Yep, Jasper is one of the foster babies. Amon Ra is smaller though he is build more like the classic Siamese while Bert and Casper look more like a Tonkinese. The only real difference between a blue point and a lilac point is the color of their paw pads. Blues have grey paw pads and Lilacs have pink. Amon Ra is Bert and Casper ( a Flame Point) dad, we think. Not completely sure because Bert looks exactly like the cat nexr door, but there mother was a nondescript grey female my step-daughter drug home swearing she was already spayed...yeah right...lol

Mel, his pads are a deep, rosy pink - like his nose leather.

Vicky, I knew you would love it - of course you are the only one here that has actually met them in person, but I don't think they were being THIS cute. Heck, even I don't get to see them being THIS cute everyday with their paws like that.

It reminds me of a square dancing hold, if I am remembering correctly - it's got to have been about 42 years since I square danced!

That picture makes me speechless. It does not show how much bigger Jeddie is, how fullbodied, while Beau is smaller, but it's like Beau's protecting Jeddie.

Can you make that your avatar? I like the other one since they're both on it, but this makes it like they are FD brothers or something. I've never seen 2 cats do that.

And Sheila, you are not that old! I'm sure you were in school, right??

If Beau has rosy pink paw pads and nose leather then he is definitely a Lilac point. Bert has deep bluish grey pads but very pale pink nose leather so he is a blue-point. Beau looks fluffier that Bert but they do look like they could be brothers. Actually they look more like brothers than Bert and Casper which I know are brothers...lol.

I was thinking about making it the avatar, but it isn't quite square and I don't want to cut off the paws at all, or Jeddie's ear. I'll have to play around with it.

And, yeah, I am that old! We did square dancing in school in 6th or 7th grade - so I was 11 or 12? That's 41-42 years ago, I'm afraid.

I have seen so many cats here that could be Beau's siblings. He is supposedly a "very handsome mutt", according to the vet I took him to when I caught him, but he does look a lot like a Tonkinease. And it was a couple of Tonkinease breeders that told me he was a lilac point. A "Lilac Lynx-point" to be exact. I tried naming him Lynx when I first caught him because he looked wild and "ferocious" in a way like he would do anything if cornered. But Lynx doesn't lend itself to nicknames so I fairly quickly changed it to Beaumont, who is a detective in one of my favorite book series and because he is so "BEAU-tiful".

How did I miss all this snuggle-pile cuteness???? Sheila your boys are too precious for words.

About the best I can do here is Hadley and Bagheera. I call it the macho-man snuggle. :-D

Sheila,

Your kitty looks very much like my Lilly who is my avatar(GA). I was always told that she was a Lyxn Point Siamese mix. I had her since she was 8 weeks old. I got her sister and her from a rescue here in Columbus. Her sister was a brown tiger cat and the other 3 kittens in the litter were black kittens, Lilly was almost white as a kitten and her markings become more prevalent as she aged. She was truly a beautiful girl. It was very hard to capture her blue eyes in pictures as I almost always get that redeye effect no matter how I adjusted the camera.
Your kitties are very handsome and I love the picture of them together.

Hi, Terri. Yes I have seen your girl's picture before and thought she looked like Beau. She was definitely a lynx-point, Very pretty coloring. I had always heard that a Siamese mixed with any other cat yielded all black kittens, but we had some "psuedo-siamese" kittens from a black mom and orange and white dad, so the Siamese gene can't be totally ressessive. They are always born white and the markings develop over their first year.

When I caught Beau, he was about 14 mos old. He also was very white except his tail, mask and ears. I think I have a photo somewhere....yes, here it is:

I think he ran after I took that picture, lol. He darkened after I had him neutered.

Yeah, getting the eyes (blue) to show is hard, especially with a flash. I use the portrait setting with redeye reduction on my camera, but their iris is so transparent the retina reflects through anyway. It's trial and error. I have to photoshop out the redeye sometimes.

Oh Sheila

He is beautiful. He has more the the typical Siamese body it would seem whereas Lilly had more tabby markings. I am so parcel to these beautiful cats after having owned one for almost 13 years. I had no idea when I got her from the rescue what type of cat she was but I sure never not for one moment ever regretted having her. Your other cat if handsome as well. Thank you for sharing your pictures.

Terri

Oh Sheila, that is an impossibly cute photo of the two of them! I love seeing kitties cuddle together. All the kitty pictures in this thread are so precious. :)

Nice shot, Sheila. I know how hard it can be to capture the cuteness you see in front of you. Your kitties are exceptionally cute.
