Important---trace ketones

Increase the amount of water you can get into him any way possible to help flush the ketones.

Add more water to his food, syringe water into him....anything that increases the fluid and keep a close eye on it

We've had to give water by syringe as he isnt touching his food or water bowl. Will continue intermittent monitoring.

Since you've been posting on Facebook, I'm continuing this discussion here.

I'd hold this dose for now....he hasn't earned a reduction yet, but just for the future, since you skipped shooting the night of the 20th, you should have held the .25 dose for at least 2 more cycles.

Any time you skip a dose like that, the "dose count" starts over, so even on Tight Regulation, you should have held it for at least 2 more cycles.

To echo the others, lots of water to help flush the ketones. It is worrisome that he isn't eating. The recipe for a DKA event is :

Not enough insulin + in appetence + a systemic stress of infection. Maybe a vet appointment is in order .
