Just popping in to say I'm back doing the sugar cat dance. I see some familiar names on the board and some new ones.

I picked up a new foster cat, Sweet Pea, earlier today who was diagnosed on Tuesday with a starting blood sugar of 597. He was with another foster mom in my rescue group. He's been a very timid cat and she wasn't capable of handling him let alone starting his treatment. I've been worried about him all week knowing he needed insulin.

He's now on no carb Tiki Cat. He had been on high carb dry food. Preshot tonight of 336, +3 303. I know the Start Low Go Slow drill. We'll stay at 1 unit for the first 3 cycles unless he goes too low mid-cycle.

For everyone out there who is new to this journey, I just want to say you can do this! He is my 4th foster cat with diabetes. All of them had to immediately learn that I would be pricking their ear - it's just what we do in this house!

I hope everyone is well.

Hi Kristen! Its so good to see you again! Bless you form taking that baby in...you're such an inspiration to us!

Thanks everyone. I got the flu the same day I picked up Sweet Pea. I'm ready for it to be next week already. We cycled up to 1.5 U. He showed a response last night and went nicely into the blues! Progress.

@Sarah Smith it's nice to see you but I'm sorry you had to come back! I hope you can get Mary feeling better soon.
