Iggy added a new question to a long thread by someone else so I started a new one with the question:

Does anyone know where to do the injections? I am having a horrible time trying to do this - Lucy is newly diagnosed and is on to me....she squirms if I put her on a table or runs away if she is laying on the floor. I tried practicing the tenting while she is laying around or eating - she is wise to me and runs. I love her so much I wish this was easier....

This link might have some ideas: How to give a shot

Iggy, try doing the injections while Lucy is eating. Pumbaa pretty much ignores me when his face is buried in his food bowl.

That's also how I got him used to getting his ears pricked for home blood glucose testing. I sit at the kitchen table with Pumbaa's butt on my lap and his front paws on the table. I put some smooshed up canned sardines (packed in water, no salt) on the table in front of him, and while he is occupied with eating the treat, I can prick his ear and do the test. Now he sits there for me calmly, even when I don't put treats in front of him.

It gets easier! Truly!
